C2 Creative Concepts in Texarkana. Web design and Logo Design
We welcome your feedback!
Hello design world and current clients…and C2 fans!
We are looking to establish a presence on facebook and myspace. Sounds like a job for Hollie!!! Anyways, we would like to establish a fanbase of our work so we can gather more feedback on current projects.
We ahve just finished 98% of heritagetexarkana.com and it is beautiful!!!!! We did some more CMS training today and boy oh boy is it getting near the end. Wednesday we will wrap it up for sure! We would like to design every church website in Texarkana but that is pretty difficult considering more and more people are using templates. It is fun to do a church site and right now we are working on Cross Pointe Baptist. We will keep you posted on that one.
Right now we are doing some sketch designs for Tatum Excavating and Southwest Title. Also in the works is a logo for Anderson Orthodontics. Here is what we have so far….lets take a web poll shall we?
DESIGN 1

DESIGN 2

DESIGN 3
Right now i am favoring design 3.
For the client the second one is out of the picture because it is too dark and not his style. He is more of a startched shirt kinda of guy who likes things a certain way so keep that in your mind while you look and give me some feedback people!
Tomorrow I will give you links to those 2 new sites we are working on. Thanks for reading!

Well we are wrapping up Heritage and it has been a long time coming! We built a “hybrid” site for the very first time with Heritage. It has Flash and HTML to help with the search engine optimization and a CSS subnavigation drop down menu.
We first began doing what we do best…artwork. Once all of the artwork was finished we began dabbling with the raised animation for the menu bar. The problem that we ran into was we needed to animate the button when your mouse goes over the button and at the same time we needed it to show a drop down menu that we built using CSS. We did research for weeks and found that we needed to have a “call function” from flash written in the actionscript that would “call” an external javascript “show/hide” function. Well….we ran into a few problems. We could get the menu to work but only once! You had to refresh your browser to “reset” the buttons! It was crazy!!!! So the next thing we tried ended up showing the drop down menu but you had to mouse over the main buttons again for the sub menu to disappear. O.K…..So we kept trouble shooting and reading blogs and forums and helps and we even paid 3 people on liveperson.com that were “flash experts”…(yeah right) So after about $150 out of pocket, we were still nowhere! Well, we kept working and working until we finally made a breakthrough! We got the flash buttons to disappear on roll out and show on rollover and here is the menu you see today!!!!!!
That is just one problem we ran into! The next problem was the wmode in our flash elements would overlap our CSS drop down menu! Well for that we headed back to chats and blogs and we discovered through the help of now a VERY good facebook friend that we needed to change the wmode to “opaque”. As a newbie to flash we had no idea to do this! It works now and that is why you see the drop down menu over the slideshow elements on the site.
We created 3 unique headers for this site based on the color scheme of Heritage’s church. one for the main, youth and kids. Each one have the same basic design but each very unique to their ministries. Each of the headers have the same drop downs so the navigation stays the same even though the page look changes. (very useful idea)
The rest of the site is simple HTML and CSS. We made each page a full link instead of using relative links. Search engines index the complete url better than relative links. We added the MP3 player from sermonshare.com on their podcast page and it is a great resource! It is also on Isaac Pitre’s site and Church On The Rock. There are a few minor details to go through tonight and we will be finished. Tomorrow at 10 I have a meeting to train their staff on the Content Management System, so that will wrap it up I do beleieve.
Tomorrow I plan on working up some designs for Anderson Orthodontics for their new logo and beginning some design work for Studio JM Photography. Should be a fun day! Also on our plate is IronWood Grill site updates and photo shoot, Tatum Excavating site design, Southwest Title website, Cross Pointe Baptist website, Century 21 All Points CMS training and a few more things along with some bill collecting!
fun fun fun fun fun….We are busy and we hope to make some big bucks this week! So meet me at Roadhouse!……no I am totally kidding about that last comment! Thanks for choosing C2. My favorite web and graphic design shop in Texarkana!!!
First of all, let me start out by saying that I have been to the Texarkana Mall maybe like 10 times total since we have lived here. (3 years)
I am just not a mall guy but today was different. C2 Creative Concepts had a booth at the Walk for Autism Awareness. There were quite a few vendors there and we made some new friends in the computer biz as well as hanging out with some old friends. We promoted the photo and web design sides of C2. Overall it was fun and tiring all at the same time!
Right now I am working on some new designs for Southwest Title and Tatum Excavating. I have a basic design for each that i will post soon for you guys to give us some feedback on and I really need your help!!!! We are also working on 2 logos. One for an orthodontist and another for a wedding planner. If you guys have any idea, please shoot them out way! Any feedback or ideas are always welcome!
I hope everyone is liking the direction of the Party Patrol website. They only have one video on there right now but hopefully more to come.
Right now i would like for everyone to spread the word about C2Creative Captures. We are really having fun with the photography division of the business an want some senior pics and family stuff as well as commercial stuff!
Finally, Heritage Baptists site needs to be completed by Monday. I normally dont work on Sunday but tomorrow I am going to try my best to complete it so we can wrap up their way overdue account. Feedback and spellcheck/grammer check is always welcome…NOT ON MY BLOG THOUGH!!! HA HA HA!!!!! I know my fingers fly sometimes and i have to go back and look at site over after it is done and i will catch text mistakes. Anyways, thank you for checking us out and keeping up! Holla if you have any questions about what we do or how we do it!
Thanks

Well,
We didn;t get finished with the projects we planned to yesterday. Today however is a new day! We are primarily working on the Party Patrol or (Globe TV) i think they swapped their name on me….Anyways, we are tring to get the majority of their site complete as well as getting a proof of a site to a new client “Southwest Title” and if there is time (ha ha ha) We will draw up a few drafts for a new logo from another new customer of ours “Anderson Orthodontics”.
I will post the logo drafts of o get to them today.
Follow along on the Party Patrol website http://www.thepartypatrol.tv
This Thursday we expect to finish 2 sites.
1. http://www.thepartpatrol.tv
2. http://www.heritagetexarkana.com
The first website will be a new design but a fairly simple layout. There are a few things we dont quite understand and i think this may take up the whole day….i do not yet know. This site uses a piece of equipment called a “set top box”. It displays video from the internet off of this site to your television. I have a basic design and a couple of advertising banners to throw on the sides of this site but I do not know how far I will get.
We are going to attempt to complete Heritage today. We will be working on Heritage from 1:00-5:00 and hopefully we will at least make it 100% functional for the end user. We still have to put the CMS on there and make it work properly. We use snippetmaster for a CMS and it works great,we just need to work out a few minor bugs. So like i said. If i can get the site to work right for the end user, we can get the CMS squared away by Monday and do the CMS training for Heritage on Tuesday.
We also need to set Century 21 up with a CMS training and we may be able to do that Monday if eveyrthing works out fine with no complications. If there are complications, we are probably looking at Wednesday.
Creative Captures is looking for their first prints of their first photo shoot to come in Thursday or Friday so we will definetly be showing those off to you soon! Keep up with the progress Thursday (today) and give us a shout and some feedback! Love you guys!
